Pixar:
Inside Out – June 19, 2015
Plot: Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley and everyone else are guided by their emotions, Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The personified emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters, when Sadness accidentally causes herself and Joy to get lost within the rest of Riley’s Mind. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the remaining emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school, while Joy and Sadness trek through the rest of Riley’s Mind (including “Imagination Land” and “Dream Productions”), the latter slowly discovering the bright side of life.
My thoughts: This is a movie with lots of well know actors in is it. If Amy Poehler being in it was not enough to make me want to watch it (which it is) the fact it is a Pixar movie sold it, we all know it is going to be good because Pixar never disappoints to make amazing movies! I will definitely be watching this movie in theaters.
Finding Dory – June 17, 2016
Plot: this movie will be focused on the amnesiac character Dory, and will explore the idea of her being reunited with her family. The film will take place one year after the events of Finding Nemo and will be set off the coast of California.
My thoughts: I am so excited for this movie and have been since they announced it, Finding Nemo is my favorite Pixar movie and Dory is one of the funniest Disney characters. I think this will be a great movie and I love the plot. I will definitely watch this in theaters!
Toy Story 4 –June 16, 2017
Plot: unknown at this time, but this will be a love story.
My thoughts: I thought Toy Story 3 was a great movie and a great way to end the story but I am all for a new movie like I said Pixar does not mess up!
Cars 3 –TBA
Plot: unknown at this time, but Route 66 and Route 99 will be included
My thoughts: the first two where grate movies I am sure this will be no exception, have I mentioned that Pixar can do no wrong …..
The Incredibles 2 – TBA
Plot: unknown at this time but director Brad Bird stated in 2007 “I have pieces that I think are good, but I don’t have them all together.” and in 2013 stated “I have been thinking about it. People think that I have not been, but I have. Because I love those characters and love that world.” He continues, “I am stroking my chin and scratching my head. I have many, many elements that I think would work really well in another Incredibles film, and if I can get ‘em to click all together, I would probably wanna do that.”
My thoughts: FINALLY! This was an amazing movie I am so excited for this sequel it is going to be amazing. My dad and I seriously almost peed ourselves laughing the first time we watched this movie. Theaters? I think yes!
Computer Animated:
The Good Dinosaur – November 25, 2015
Plot: The Good Dinosaur asks the generations-old question: What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? The film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively 70-foot-tall teenage Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event rattles Arlo’s tranquil community, he sets out on a quest to restore peace, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a young human boy named Spot.
My thoughts: I like the plot it and with John Lithgow and Neil Patrick Harris in its cast I am sure this will be a very funny movie. I will most likely watch this in theaters.
Zootopia – March 4, 2016
Plot: The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Composed of habitat neighborhoods such as ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together — a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery.
My thoughts: again an interesting concept it sounds like it will be a great audition to the Disney line up. I will definitely watch this one.
Moana – November 23, 2016
Plot: This movie is set in Polynesia. It is described as a mythic adventure set around 2000 years ago and across a series of islands in the South Pacific. The main character is to be Moana Waialiki, a teenage sea-voyaging enthusiast and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. When her family needs her help, she sets off on an epic journey to find a fabled island. During her journey, she teams up with her hero, demigod Maui, and encounters enormous sea creatures, underworlds, demigods and spirits taken from Polynesian mythology.
My thoughts: sounds like a good movie I can only imagine how amazing the scenery is going to be (I am picturing lots of colour) and it will be a musical! Yay, many people in the Disney fandom have predicted she will be the next Disney princess. Definitely watching this movie, probably in theaters.

Plot: this is the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, along with support from Nick Fury and Maria Hill are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
My thoughts: the cast is perfect in this movie, loved the first Avengers movie. Definitely a watch in the comforts of home movie.
Ant-Man – July 17, 2015
Plot: Thief Scott Lang must aid his mentor Dr. Hank Pym in safeguarding the mystery of the Ant-Man technology – which allows its user to decrease in size but increase in strength – from various new threats, and plot a heist that will save the Earth.
My thoughts: Paul Rudd is awesome, Marvel is awesome. Definitely will watch this one.
Captain America: Civil War – May 6, 2016
Plot: Following the events of the Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.

My thoughts: So this is Disney’s first of many Star Wars movies to come although I have never been a big Star Wars fan I am excited to see the movie and will have to re-watch all the other Star Wars movies in anticipation. I also love that almost the entire cast has come back for the reboot. I am sure I will be ‘dragged’ to the theaters to watch this movie.
Star Wars Episode VII –May 26, 2017
Plot: unknown at this time
My thoughts: see above
Live Action:
Tomaorrowland – May 22, 2015
Plot: Frank (George Clooney) and Casey (Britt Robertson) travel to a place somewhere in time and space only known as Tomorrowland where their actions directly affect the world and themselves. It is a Sci-Fi movie that was originally thought to be based on the futuristic themed land found in the parks but I don’t think that continues to be true.
My thoughts: it has some well-known names in its cast Gorge Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Tim McGraw and Kathryn Hahn being amongst them. I was very excited when I heard about the movie but to be honest the trailer did not get me that exited I will still go watch it (probably at home) but I have very mixed feelings about the movie.
The Finest Hours – January 29, 2016
Plot: American disaster drama film about a true story of the Pendleton rescue mission attempt by Coast Guard ships. A storm hit and split asunder two oil tankers in 1952. The BFG – July 1, 2016
Plot: Tells the story of Sophie (Ruby Barnhill), the Queen of England (Penelope Wilton) and The Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance) who set out on an adventure to capture the evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – July 7, 2017
Plot: Captain Jack Sparrow is pursued by an old enemy, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), who along with his crew of ghost pirates has escaped from the Bermuda Triangle and is determined to kill every pirate at sea. Jack seeks the mythical Trident of Poseidon, which will bestow upon its possessor total control over the seas, to use against Salazar.
My thoughts: I loved Pirates of the Caribbean, I always loved pirates as a kid and love love love the movies, characters everything about the movies, but I do think that the last movie was missing something although I Love Jack Sparrow I miss Elizabeth and Will. That being said I am still stoked for the movie I have seen every Pirates of the Caribbean movie in theaters and I don’t plan to miss this one.
Tribyville – TBA
Plot: unknown at this time
My thoughts: I don’t really have enough information to have thoughts about this movie.
Live Action Remakes:
The Jungle Book – April 15, 2016
Plot: This is the live action version of 1967 Disney movie of the same name.
My thoughts: Classic Disney movie with grate music Richard M. Sherman who did the music for the original Disney movie will also be working on the music for this one. And the cast looks grate Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken are the stand out cast members but this movie looks amazing definitely a watch in theaters movie!
Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass –May 27, 2016
Plot: The sequel to the live action 2010 Disney movie Alice in Wonderland.
My thoughts: I loved the 2010 movie so I am definitely looking forward to this movie especially with the cast from the 2010 movie returning but I am sad that it is not being directed by Tim Burton but he is a producer and I am guessing will be very involved with the movie. I most likely will see this movie in theaters.
Pete’s Dragon – August 12, 2016
Plot: This is a re-make of the 1977 Disney movie of the same name.
My thoughts: I always found this movie kind of creepy so I am indifferent toward this movie.
Beauty and the Beast– March 17, 2017
Plot: Live action re-make of the 1991 Disney movie of the same name.
My thoughts: OHH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have read my last post you all know how exited I am about this movie. *update* Stanley Tucci has been cast as Cadenza a new character that is a piano and Ewan McGregor will be Lumiere. Not only will I see this in theaters but I will Disney bound and totally fan girl!!!!!! This movie will be amazing! (Can you tell I am exited?)
Mulan –TBA
Plot: This is a live action re-make of the 1998 Disney movie of the same name.

Winnie the Pooh –TBA
Plot: This is a live action re-make of the movie of the same name. (there are several movies and I am unsure what story line they will use)
My thoughts: Winnie the Pooh was my favorite movie(s) as a kid I liked him more than the princesses, so as much as I am unsure about the live action aspect of this I am very much so looking forward to this movie. Winnie the Pooh will always have place in my heart and because of this I will probably watch this movie in theaters.
Pinocchio –TBA
Plot: This is a live action re-make of the 1940 Disney movie of the same name.
My thoughts: So excited for this movie, the song ‘when you wish upon a star’ is one of my favorite songs and I am hoping they will have it in the movie. I look forward to seeing there casting for this movie, seeing this in theaters is definitely a possibility.
The Haunted Mansion –TBA
Plot: This is a re-make of the 2003 movie of the same name.
My thoughts: I really enjoyed the 2003 movie but look forward to seeing a darker version of it. Theaters? …maybe.
Oz the Great and Powerful 2 –TBA
Plot: Oz and Glinda have their first born child named Olivia. They don’t tell Olivia that an evil spell has been cast on her by someone she never knew.
My thoughts: I was really disappointed in the first movie and I am really surprised that they are doing a sequel. It was not a bad movie but I had high hopes because of the great cast they had/have as a big fan of the original movie it just did not do it for me. I might go see this if it looks good.
Cruella – TBA
Plot: will be similar to Disney’s Maleficent the back story of the villain.
My thoughts: she is a grate villain and I loved the movie Maleficent so I think it will be great. I really enjoyed the live action version of 101 Dalmatians but I think this will be better. Glenn Close who did an amazing job as Cruella in said movie will be an executive producer in this film. I will definitely see this in theaters, on a side note I don’t know how they are planning to make it understandable to want to kill puppies but I am interested to see them try.
Notes:
- There are some untitled Pixar, Star Wars and Animation movies that I have left out
- Plot is based off what is written in the Wikipedia/IMDB page(s) and may change
- I am not perfect and I may have forgotten some movies
- Disney unfortunately no longer makes 2D movies if you are wondering why that is not a category
- This list only includes movie that will be in theaters so Disney Chanel movies are not included
- I will possibly re-post with updates if requested
